Meet Our Champions

Over the years, we’ve delivered hundreds of workshops to thousands of seniors. Along the way, we’ve met some incredible people who were happy to offer great feedback that allowed us to learn as well. For Let’s Talk Money - Seniors, we reached out to some of those people to see if they’d like to help us prepare this new program. They are at the heart of our program. We call them Champions.

They come from all over Canada. Some have had careers in financial services. Some are former educators. Others have worked in business. Most have raised families and are parents of adult children.

They share a love of teaching, of helping people learn to make better financial decisions. And they have a lot of personal and career experience that makes them passionate about financial literacy.

They have helped shape the Let’s Talk Money program for seniors in many important ways. They were part of our initial focus groups who gathered to help us identify the financial and life questions that matter most to seniors. Our Champions then met to share their thoughts on how seniors can better open up the lines of communication with their adult children and other family members on these important issues.   • Bob Bonner

    Bob is a retired teacher from New Brunswick. His commitment to education serves him well as Champion. Devoting time to give back to his community, Bob continues to volunteer for various boards and committees in the Saint John area. He and his wife Brenda have three adult children with whom they’ve had many money talks.

  • Judi Foster

    Judi lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She knows the world of finance well, having spent most of her working years at a major Canadian bank. With two adult children and three grandchildren, Judi has experienced firsthand how important money talks with family can be. She will also tell you she has had plenty of opportunity to practice!

  • Bill Peppard

    After 36 years as a school principal/teacher, Bill’s gifts as an educator serve him well as a Champion. He lives in St. Andrews, New Brunswick with his wife, Cathy. They have had many money talks with their three adult children. Now retired, Bill is enjoying time with family and friends, travel, recreational sports and quiet time at the lake.

  • Frances Tsoi

    Frances lives in Richmond Hill, Ontario and has been retired for several years. She lives near her children and has a very close relationship with her whole family. Along the way, she’s had many talks about money with her children. She says these conversations are often guided by family tradition - and the strong opinions of her children!

  • Tom Boleantu

    Tom brings the experience and knowledge of a professional financial advisor to his role of Champion. He has helped many clients make a smooth transition into retirement. Now retired himself, Tom has a sincere passion to assist people with financial and lifestyle issues – especially teenagers. He lives in Calgary with his wife Belinda.

  • Erin Zorzi

    Erin lives with her husband Paul on the Lake Huron shoreline. Throughout her life, Erin has been an avid volunteer in healthcare, spiritual care and humanitarian aid. She is now retired from a 30-year career in banking, with 20 years as a Certified Financial Planner. With this background, promoting financial literacy as a Champion is a natural passion for her.

  • George Ketsetzis

    George has almost 30 years of business experience and 10 years in financial and insurance planning. He is also a past president of the Hamilton and District Business Club. George is the father of five adult children and is strongly involved in the Greek community in Hamilton. These combined experiences and skills make him an excellent Champion for Let’s Talk Money.
